We are reaching out with heavy hearts and deep hope.

Our beloved friend, Diana, a kind and courageous woman living in Western Australia on a student visa, has just received devastating news: she has been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, a fast-growing and aggressive form of cancer.

After months of unexplained symptoms and medical exams, her worst fears were confirmed. She now faces an urgent and intense treatment plan—starting June 16—with no time to spare. Dr Brenno Becker, her GP, referred her to have the chemotherapy at the Royal Perth Hospital, and the Radiotherapy at Genesis Care. 

Her path ahead includes 30 sessions of radiotherapy, 2 rounds of chemotherapy, CT and PET scans, and countless appointments with specialists. Because of the treatments side effects she won’t be able to keep working and even though they have private health insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are overwhelming. 

She is not alone in this. She’s been building a life in Australia for the past two years with her loving husband and their beautiful 10-year-old son—a bright, joyful boy who dreams of one day calling this country his forever home.

But now, this family’s future is clouded by uncertainty. They are fighting for her life, for their family, and for the chance to keep building the dreams they carried across borders.

We’ve created this fundraiser out of love and solidarity, trusting in the power of community and compassion. Together, we believe we can help this family face this battle with dignity, hope, and strength.

Estamos escrevendo com o coração apertado, mas cheios de esperança.

Nossa querida amiga, Diana, uma mulher generosa e corajosa que vive na Austrália - Perth, com visto de estudante, recebeu recentemente uma notícia devastadora: foi diagnosticada com adenocarcinoma, um tipo agressivo e de rápida evolução do câncer.

Após meses de sintomas persistentes e diversos exames, seus piores temores se confirmaram. Agora, ela precisa iniciar um tratamento intenso e urgente — começando no dia 16 de junho — sem tempo a perder.

O caminho à frente inclui 30 sessões de radioterapia, 2 sessões de quimioterapia, exames como tomografia e PET scan, além de inúmeras consultas com especialistas. Por causa dos efeitos colaterais dos dois tratamentos ela não vai conseguir continuar trabalhando, e mesmo com o seguro saúde os custos que não são cobertos serão altíssimos.

Ela não está sozinha nessa jornada. Há dois anos, ela vive na Austrália com o marido e o filho de 10 anos — um menino doce, alegre e cheio de sonhos, que ama a escola e deseja crescer neste país que já considera seu lar.

Mas agora, o futuro dessa família está mergulhado em incertezas. Eles estão lutando pela vida dela, pela união da família e pela chance de continuarem a construir os sonhos que os trouxeram até aqui.

Criamos essa vaquinha com amor e solidariedade, confiando na força da comunidade e no poder da compaixão. Acreditamos que, juntos, podemos ajudar essa família a enfrentar essa batalha com dignidade, esperança e força.
