On Friday, our family experienced a heartbreaking accident that changed everything in an instant. My sister, Lexi’s oldest son, Mac was involved in a tragic accident while working on a Christmas gift for his little brother — a handmade chess board. In the process, he lost four of his fingers.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital, where they were able to sew back on 3 of the 4 fingers in surgery. We are hopeful but uncertain the 3 fingers will regain full function. He is now receiving critical medical care.

As you can imagine, the emotional toll on their family has been overwhelming. On top of that, the medical expenses, hospital stay, surgeries, extensive physical therapy, and time away from work will place a significant financial burden on my sister and her family during this already devastating time.

We are asking for help to support them as they focus on what matters most — their son’s recovery and healing. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward medical bills and related expenses. “I just kept feeling for weeks that Christmas was going to be different, needed to be different, should feel different. Little did I know what was to come. But at the end of the day - the love we have felt through every single text, prayer offered, faithful fast and endless service given is exactly that - He is in the middle of it all. Jesus Christ has been with us and carried us through. I’m forever changed. We have been strengthened and sustained and Heavenly Father is so aware of us. “Beauty from ashes” has just been coming to mind so frequently. We are seeing so much beauty in this nightmare.”
