Jaliyah Rochelle daughter of Holly Rush and Lance Rochelle, was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma which is a very rare type of cancer, that only 1% of people get. She was diagnosed at the age of 14 and upon receiving the diagnoses Jaliyah underwent multiple rounds of chemo and radiation along with a procedure to have the tumor removed. With her family and friends by her side Jaliyah BEAT the odds and was diagnosed cancer free in January of this year. After receiving such great news Jaliyah was able to begin living life as a normal kid her age and began participating in theater. While preparing to begin for her sophomore year of high school Jaliyah went for a regular 3-month scan and received devastating news, the cancer had returned, and a new tumor was spotted. As catastrophic as this news is Jaliyah remains hopeful and is ready to fight and beat the odds again. After consulting with Jaliyah’s doctors, her family feels the most confidence in the cancer treatment program at MD Anderson Hospital located in Houston, Texas. Jaliyah was accepted as a patient which we are overjoyed about, but unfortunately, they do not accept her insurance. As a result this money must be paid out of pocket in order for treatment to begin. With all that being said, we ask if you feel led to contribute in helping this family through these very trying times, any and everything is appreciated. Through it all, Jaliyah has never lost hope and continues to be a bright ray of sunshine in our lives and the lives of those she meets daily! While going through the hardest time of her life she has maintained a positive attitude and I have never heard her complain once. Her selflessness is unmatched as she is more worried about how her friends and family are, than herself throughout her treatment.
