Hello, as some of you know, my sister Mikayla was in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler on November 29th. Her youngest daughter Riley and husband Kevin were in the vehicle with her. Riley, who is only 10, was severely injured. She was wearing her seat belt, which saved her life, but it also caused major stomach damage. She suffered internal bleeding, tears on her intestines, and severely damaged colons on both sides. Riley was in an induced coma for three days and has already undergone two surgeries and a blood transfusion . She is currently on a feeding tube, has drains in her body, and a neck port. And has a broken wrist. Despite all this, Riley has woken up and is beating the odds, though she is still in a lot of pain. The doctors are amazed by her willpower! Riley is an amazing kid who brings sunshine to everyone she meets. She laughs at her own jokes louder than anyone else and is her mama’s best friend. We can’t wait for the day her smile returns, but she has a long road ahead of her. As for my sister Mikayla, she broke her hip and dislocated her femur. She has a concussion from a large gash on her forehead and can barely walk. She also faces a long recovery and will be homebound with Riley until things improve. (When they get out of the hospital) Mikayla is a mom of five who works two jobs and does everything she can for her kids. Now, she cannot go back to work and is heartbroken that this happened so close to Christmas. Still, she is grateful for her life and the lives of her daughter and husband. With all of this happening, we are reaching out for help during this Christmas season. The family needs medical equipment and support for daily living expenses to keep a family of seven going. Anything you can give will help the Aguirre family get through this difficult time. My sister is always the first to help others, and now she needs a helping hand. If you find it in your heart, please consider supporting them. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.
i just want to say as a family, the miracle already happened… my sister her baby and husband are alive, and we will all be together on Christmas. Thank you Jesus ! Thank you JESUS!!!
