Support Russian Immersion Program Nutcracker Play

Tax deductible
Turnagain Elementary School is home to the 1st-in-America public Russian language immersion program (begun in 2004). This Russian Immersion program is one of only a handful in the country that offers the unique opportunity for students to learn a second language in an immersion environment.

We host many cultural events throughout the year and our second year of Nutcracker school play is scheduled for December 15, 2019. Last year’s production was a great success and we’d like to make it available to the community by hosting it at the West High Auditorium. Russian-speaking music and dance teachers are able to work with our students after school to enrich the cultural and linguistic experiences of our children.

We humbly request a donation that will go toward covering facility rent, costumes, music director, choreographer, and dance class assistance stipends. We are trying to raise $7,800 to cover all of our expenses.

MIR Parents, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the Russian language immersion program at Turnagain Elementary School, Romig Middle School, and West High School.

Thank you for any help you can give to support our students!
