We are We Know Better, a queer comedic podcast based in Minneapolis. With the rise of ICE occupation in the Twin Cities, as creators, we wanted to do what we can to support our community. This is a fund that will provide mutual aid for real people and families with financial need during this scary time.

Starting in December of 2025, the U.S. Department of Homeland security launched "Operation Metro Surge", deploying increased ICE agents to Minneapolis/Minnesota. This has now become the largest DHS operation in US history. These agents use violence and fear to terrorize the people of the Twin Cities area, with two fatal shootings having occurred in January 2025.

With these ongoing conditions, it has become impossible for our people to go to work, go to the grocery store, and for kids to go to school without fear. ICE agents are terrorizing local establishments as well as local schools. People need to pay their rent, support their children, and buy necessities.

This fund is for providing aid to families and people in the Minneapolis area. Donations will be distributed by the members of the We Know Better podcast to specific people in need of aid.

Since this began, there has been 2 historic strikes, and there are people protesting and witnessing ICE agents' crimes against humanity every day. Everybody has a part to play in resistance, and with our reach, we aim to provide what aid we can. We love our city, we love Minnesota, and we love every person who lives here.
