Hello family & friends! For those who don’t know me, this is Amanda Rice, Cathie’s oldest daughter. I’m starting this for my mom & dad to help them out financially. My mom had her 3rd neck surgery on August 6th. Many things have happened since then.. from infections and fevers to her heart rate dropping and changing up pains meds to stabilize her heart rate. Seeing her in the excruciating pain was horrific to watch. She was in the hospital much longer than expected and won’t be able to return back to work until next year sometime. Mark has been a guardian angel nurse to her. He stayed with her in the hospital overnight the entire time except for a couple hours here and there to shower, take care of things at home and get Kylie situated. Now that my mom is home Mark has had to extend the amount of time taken off work to a whole month to care for her instead of just a week like they planned for. My mom is on disability and Mark has applied for Paid Family Leave to help, but that only pays a small portion of his regular paycheck and doesn’t include all the overtime he works! Since they are both not working they are in great need of help!
