Miner Family in memory of Ian
In March of 2017, the Miner family experienced a life changing day when their little boy, Ian, fell in a pool unable to swim. Against the odds, Ian survived. From this day forward the family adapted to a new normal consisting of lengthy therapy sessions, expensive medical treatments, hope and prayers. While Ian's life expectancy was not long term - he had overcome many mountains - continuing to make memories with his family and friends.
Ian fought a good fight...passing peacefully but unexpectedly in his sleep in November of 2020 - starting the mourning process for a family who has been through so much, all over again.
During this time Ian’s parents, Megan and Brett, have taken countless unpaid days from work, travelled hundreds of miles for therapy and medical treatment, fought for fair medical benefits from local authorities, while continuing to raise a family. All together this has accumulated a mountain of debt and expenses with little end in sight.
This is a small effort to relieve some stress for a family of bravery and strength. From New York to Florida - family and friends (who are family) send as much virtual love as possible. Ian will be forever missed - he will live on through Megan, Brett, Emmy and John - who are all truly incredible. XO
