Mindy's IVC Filter Removal Surgery

I've never been one to come out and ask for help. Being disabled for years has limited my ability to contribute much to my family financially.  In fact it's done the opposite, often putting us in hardship.  I come to you today family and friends asking for your help.  Many of you know our current situation but for those that do not let me fill you in
I've debated about putting my business out there all day today. after the outpouring of love, prayers, calls and texts today,I think I will just explain what's going on.
I have a history of blood clots, that lead to stents in my leg and an ivc  filter in my abdomen (vena cava).  this was done in 2005. the ivc filter is designed to catch any blood clots and stop them from getting into the lungs, brain,or heart.
Within the last few years I've been experiencing pain that despite every doctor has not been controlled or pin pointed.  A recent appointment with my primary doc led to a thought that we look into this pain from a vascular view.  Knowing my history in Cleveland she sent me to the clinic within a matter of days.  My appointment went well, very nice doctor and staff.  Without dragging you through all the details the doc had a few ideas of what he thought could be going on.  he wanted a CT scan that day,but of course insurance said "not today" lol. So they scheduled me too come back on Monday.
Mitch and I went to the clinic and I had my scan.  I then was sent to a room to wait to talk to the doctor.  He came in and basically said the worst case senerio was unfortunately what we were looking at.  He pulled up my scans and showed us that my ivc filter has ripped through my vena cava and creating a lot of damage. Part of it has pierced into my spine, another part has pierced through my stomach, another part has wedged itself behind the aorta ( by the grace of God not piercing it). This is a serious situation and huge surgery.  Most filters can be removed through the neck, unfortunately not mine. They will have to make an incision  from my belly button around to my back, dig through to the vena cava remove it.  They plan to fix my stomach. Not sure what happens with the spine, he believes that the vena cava has been shredded to the point that they will need to create a by pass.  Surgery will be on Friday November 4.  It's about 5hrs for the surgery,  then I'm lookin at about a week in the hospital, followed by a long recovery.  To say I'm shocked and scared is an understatement.  I'm so glad mitch was by my side yesterday.  we have faced a lot of difficult things but this one really ranks up there.  I have to be at the clinic Monday for some pre op.  I also have to report for surgery at 5:30 am,which means we will need to stay the night before.  Mitch and my mother plan on staying by my side over the weekend.  Then we will see how I'm doing.  He will be on fmla so any time off is unpaid. Both of our vehicles have been having issues and required fixing.  Thank goodness for our parents.  Needless to say I feel very helpless. Mitch works so very hard to take care of us. I know how difficult all of this is for him.
Our parents will be helping and they are all retired.  I hate that we are unable to help them with gas expenses and etc. So I'm asking you to consider helping.  A huge thank you to all of those that have been paying so hard during this time.  I know that God has this situation under control.  After all, he is the king of the world. God bless and never give up.
