Mindy's Health Battle (Round 2!)

In 2017 at the age of 29, my sister-in-law Mindy suffered a devastating stroke that nearly took her life. After months of hospitalizations, surgeries, extensive rehabilitation, and prayers from family and friends, Mindy made a miraculous recovery that stunned her entire medical team. In 2019 and 2021, respectively, Mindy and her husband Brian welcomed their daughter Everly and son James and were looking forward to their lives as a healthy family of four (+ 2 dogs!).

Last month Mindy was unexpectedly diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, a type of blood cancer completely unrelated to her earlier stroke. This diagnosis has presented a physical, emotional and financial burden on their family. Mindy is the sole caregiver to Everly and James while Brian works full time to support the family (she was unable to return to her demanding job in advertising after the stroke).

The money raised here will help offset the family's various expenses during treatment, specifically out-of-pocket medical costs and childcare assistance. Mindy and the rest of our family so deeply appreciate any contributions you're willing to make.
