Cancer Sucks; Help Mindy and Kenaniah

Meet Mindy and Kenaniah; We know and love them for their creativity, loyalty, and love of adventure. Now they need our help.

Working undercover as a graphic designer and graduate student, these two are artists in their off hours. Listening to records, playing rock ‘n roll, and creating visual art for their two cats is a joy. Following their wedding in 2024, they continue to grow together and share their love of all things good with the people around them.

In the spring of 2025, Mindy attends a routine doctor visit and is told that imaging shows what appears to be cancer. Further testing confirms the diagnosis. The ups and downs of this emotional rollercoaster begin with "Positive for Cancer.” The first drop is big. Then, a break with better news; it is confined to one area of breast tissue.

Amidst these ups and downs, Kenaniah's car breaks down, requiring repairs that cost more than the car is worth (he's a delivery driver by day).

Wednesday, 7/16: Mindy will undergo a lumpectomy to remove the cancerous tissue along with lymph nodes to rule out more cancer. Following this will be further treatments and endocrine therapy that will continue for up to 10 years.

Cancer is costly , and insurance often sucks.

Mindy and Kenaniah need our help.
