Arts Education Access- A Challenge

Now through July 31, Miami New Drama interns present a challenge.  We have come together in a friendly competition to benefit something that touched all of our lives-arts education. We have all been bettered by exposure to the arts and we want to share  opportunities with students that might not otherwise have access.

Every dollar of our $7,500 goal will go towards a performance of our 2017-18 Season Opener, Our Town, reserved exclusively for students from underserved communities to attend, get a look backstage, and meet artists. MiND's production of Our Town is especially appropriate for Miami, as it features a  trilingual script using English, Spanish, and Creole to tell this classic story.

MiND is a 501 c(3) organization so all of your donations are tax deductible. Each schools performance costs approximately $20,000. If we interns raise $7,500, it will be matched by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and then MiND will contribute the remaining $5,000.

This week, we interns are competing for your donations-- whoever has most dollars raised and most individual contributions wins a prize, and bragging rights around the office of course. If you are giving in honor of one of us, please, include name in comments.

Thanks for supporting arts education!
