For those who may not know yet ---My mobility has changed a lot over the past few years.

My skateboard is now an electric chair --which means a lot for me personally - but it mostly means my life got much more expensive!

So that's why I am here today -- momma needs help getting a brand new pair of legs/wheels / roller-skates.

Well, two, actually. One for every day and one for travel.

Here is the breakdown.....

The everyday chair:

Insurance is paying for 80% of one chair. I am responsible for ~20%.
The chair costs 20k, I owe them 4k.
The doc has fitted me and the order is ready to go!
This chair is awesome and has a lot of bells and whistles that will make my life as seamless as I am used to....
BUT Insurance doesn't care about what happens to wheelchair users after they leave the house, because the assumption is that we do not leave the house. Obviously that doesn't make any sense.

The travel chair :

So insurance will NEVER cover any kind of travel / lightweight chair (think use for planes, trains and automobiles). I am serious; it's so weird!
Trust me, I have yelled at all the appropriate people about how fucked this is, but there isn't much to do unless I commit my life to changing these laws. Which ....doesn't sound like my calling, honestly.

So that means...I have to buy my own. Here is the one I will get

The rental:

I have also been renting an electric chair in the meantime
Its costing me 300 / month for about 9 months - depending on when the new chair gets here.
Paying for this is an undo hardship that I would like to avoid.
Total cost: $2700
