Mindful Blooms Farm

Hi I’m Sophia and I’m fundraising to rebuild Mindful Blooms Farm in Myakka City, FL. I’m the farmer florist and it’s my second season growing here at the farm. The season just started - flowers were planted and I was supposed to start the farmers market this weekend. That changed this week when hurricane Ian came and wiped out all of the flower beds, trees and the walk in cooler. The damage from the storm was enough to make me want to give up. But I can’t and I won’t do that. I believe in the farm and what I’m doing here. I believe that we all need to connect with nature and to create a life that feels real and beautiful to us. I still have a dream to offer flowers that are grown in harmony with nature and don’t destroy it. To offer a space for people to connect with nature and feel what’s real in this world. To connect with others that have these same values and lift each other up. So I’m not giving up I’m going to continue working and growing with nature and creating a life that is beautiful to me ❤️❤️

If you want to help I’m having volunteer days at the farm this Sunday 9-2, Tuesday 9-2, and Wednesday 9-2. We’ll be picking up fallen branches and trees, putting back the cooler, seeding, making new beds and planting.

If you can’t donate time and want to donate $$ anything helps. Basically I need to repurchase everything I put into the farm - a new truckload of compost, new amendments, soil mix, seeds and plugs. All the money donated will go to these purchases. It helps TREMENDOUSLY.
