Mind Rewilding; Creating Conversations for Change
Hi There!
How great would it be to feel more heard and confident with the way we talk to each other as well as have increased calm in our lives? This podcast will help people to work through whatever life situation is troubling them with more clarity, utilizing conversation tools that actually make speaking to each other easier. Who doesn't want more flow in their lives?
We now have the ability to change not only how we say things and help the outcome be more positive but also know how to make it stick in our verbal repertoire with our minds so real, lasting change can take place. With the current pressures on people, tangible assistance in this arena seems urgently necessary.
This is a gracious ask to the global community to help me create more of a framework through this podcast that will move us through challenges and work toward solutions more effectively. Whether it's communicating with your partner, child, co-worker, in a group setting, or to a stranger on the corner. Let’s take those uncomfortable situations and figure out how to feel like what we say is impactful as well as super productive so we can walk through life with more ease, feeling heard.
As you all know huge shifts are needed in every aspect of our societies cultures to be able to come up with new solutions. After studying what works and successfully seeing people apply conversational changes effectively, the outcome may be mind blowing to our audience. I am totally confident the more people who learn how to create more positive, supportive discussions, the faster we heal our societies and global issues.
Getting help from diverse 'rewilded minds' like Gabor Mate (trauma expert), Dr. Andrew Huberman (neurologist), John Wineland (couples workshop facilitator), Amy Schumer (comedian), Yvon Chouinard (Patagonia founder-Let My People Go Surfing), Mark Hyman (longevity and functional medicine), Jean Michel Cousteau (The Ocean Futures Society), and Katherine Hayhoe (leading climate scientist) for the interviews will add real dimension as some of the suggested potential guests. With their wisdom, we will be able to apply jewels of knowledge to their specific area of expertise in the podcast interviews, offering many, fun, interesting variations for people to learn from.
There are three main reasons why I believe this podcast will thrive;
1) Presentation is everything! Both Eric and I bring not only a number of years from the broadcast world to this podcast but also our gentle, calming voices, humor and good banter will be entertaining, (take a listen below).
2) Bringing a background from the documentary and radio world, working with leading thought leaders has clarified a deep yearning from people to learn how to have these more 'authentic', 'helpful' conversations and feel like they are having a positive impact in their lives.
3) Feedback from past projects has shown that when a through-line of clarity around effective communication has been woven into the very fabric of any project like this podcast, the impact can be profound....Feeling heard is necessary as it heals lives and potentially can create an even bigger ripple effect for positive change world-wide.
This podcast will offer an opportunity to do my part to help in a more global scenario. I now am totally confident how we shift our conversations is a fundamental, necessary aspect of our ability to make the needed, critical changes as fast as we can in all our communities around the globe.
With your help, I can put together the equipment necessary for this important podcast, get the small team (two of us) up and running and create this platform so more people can be reached as we offer concrete, workable dialogue solutions that anyone can apply to their life.
The plan is to span over three well known podcast streaming platforms to begin with, Spotify, Apple and Google. We are hopeful sponsors will come on board as soon as possible to give us even more momentum.
Thank you for your interest and support!

“There is a huge difference between wanting to end your suffering, and knowing how to end your suffering. The first step is the way we communicate ourselves. Melissa guided me to someone I had long forgotten--myself. Her work will change this planet, and that is a fact.”
