In Loving Memory of Lukasz
On March 18th of last year, we tragically lost our colleague, Lukasz, to suicide. While some had known him for only a short time, many of us had the privilege of knowing him much longer. His passing has left a lasting impact on all of us.
In his memory, we want to do something positive, to raise awareness for mental health, encourage movement for wellbeing and support the incredible work of Mind, a charity that helps people struggling with their mental health, a charity that some of us have personally used.
The Challenge: As a team, we’ll collectively walk the distance from Leeds to Poland, Lukasz' home country and back—a total of 5 million steps. We’ll begin on February 7th and continue until March 18th.
This symbolic journey is a reminder that no one should face their struggles alone. It also highlights how small steps, when taken together, can lead to something meaningful and impactful.
Why It Matters: Every step we take will raise funds for Mind, helping them provide vital support to those in crisis. Along the way, we’ll also prioritise our own mental wellbeing, encourage movement, strengthen our sense of teamwork and spark a bit of friendly competition.
This challenge will include walkers, bikers, rowers, and swimmers—all tracking their steps and distance daily. Whether you’re actively participating, fundraising, or spreading awareness, your support is invaluable.
Just like mental health, this journey will be different for everyone, but together, we can make it easier for others. Please help us raise money for this amazing charity by donating, sharing our campaign, and supporting the team.
Thank you for your kindness and support,
