MiND OVER MATTER RUN

Hi, we are running a distance of around 200KM in 5 days from Hunter's Hill in Sydney to the Reptile Park in Gosford to make money for a charity based in Scotland, UK. This is second time we have done this and know how bloody hard it will be again!

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a terrible afflication and in some way has, or will effect us all even though it is a rare disease.

Several of the runners have lost close family members and know only too well the awful condition in which this renders the sufferer. Essentially peripheral nerves begin to loose their ability to transmit signals and slowly this causes muscle weakness which leads to paralysis and a horrible death often due the fact that the suffer is usually mentally fit and perfectly aware of what is happening to them.

Scottish rugby legend, Doddie Weir died last year of MND. His legacy lives on in his charity https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk. And it is this charity that we will donate all proceeds of this run.
