Hello everyone,
17.695 days......is the amount of days my grandfather Sjouke (black and white picture) lived on this earth. Too few days. Today is my 17.695th day on this earth. I was named after him, but never got to know him. People say he was a beautiful person, integer, helping others, inquiring, didn't take things for granted and was open minded to explore thoughts, concepts and ideas. I think he was curious. He was an entrepreneur and travelled to Belgium, France and other countries to do business. He only turned 48 years old and passed away because of a neurological disease.
In recent years I thought of him more and more and about this day to arrive, as I am now 48 too. It makes me realize more and more how grateful you need to be, to live your life, to spend time together as time flies, all memories appears to be yesterday. Live and love everyone you love full-hearted. Make the most of now, become the greatest version of yourself. Grow emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Challenge yourself.
In honor of my grandfather Sjouke and also my other grandfather Johan (color picture - what a beautiful soul he is) I will participate in the Ironman of Portugal Cascais. And I need your support and sponsor me to raise money for Mental Health, like Multiple sclerosis, Schizophrenia, Alzheimer. It is important to support Mental Health in young and elderly and raise awareness and even more important to cure it.
I will do my best on October 15th 2022 (race day) and will you do your best too? Thank you for your support. Click on https://gofund.me/68fdf416
