Our Orange Tabby Cat Mimolette's Vet Bill

Mimolette (Mimo) is a two-year-old orange tabby cat and is the heart of our home. He has an enormous personality, comes running when he's called, loves to be spoken to and serenaded, and begs for belly pets all day. He loves his little sister Lilikoi, blueberries, and listening to James Taylor.

Last week, we noticed that he was feeling under the weather when he stopped eating, drinking, and acting like his usual peppy and loving self. When we brought him to an emergency vet clinic, we learned that he had a potentially life-threatening urinary blockage that required an extended hospitalization and treatment to remedy. The amazing vets and vet techs took incredible care of him and we are so grateful for everything they've done to get him back to feeling like himself. Unfortunately, we're having trouble covering the very large vet bill and other expenses. Mimolette has a pre-existing heart condition as well that disqualified him from being covered under pet insurance, and the vets have informed us that he is likely prone to blockages and needs to be on a new diet of prescription food that is very costly.

We have difficulty asking for help, but COVID has impacted our employment and this bill has placed a significant strain on our finances. We know these are difficult times for everybody, but if you are able to donate anything at all, we would be so so grateful for any help in this process of getting him back to full health. We adore him so much and hate to see him suffer. He has been such a light in these really dark times, as we're sure any pet parent can relate to.
