Your Love and Support Mean Everything

Dear Community,

We’re writing today with heavy hearts and a heartfelt plea for support. Just over 2 weeks ago Mimi was surrendered to is FurKids Rescue at one of our Adoption Days on Saturday.

By late Sunday night, Mimi went into labor, but heartbreakingly, she delivered a stillborn kitten. When her labor stalled in the wee hours of Monday morning, we rushed her to Casey Pet Emergency for an emergency c-section, hoping to save the remaining kittens.

Tragically, it was discovered during surgery that none of Mimi’s unborn kittens had survived. Mimi has no surviving babies.

She also underwent desexing during the procedure, and while her physical recovery has gone well, Mimi is now facing emotional trauma and mental health struggles. She's been prescribed medication to support her healing, and we’re doing everything we can to help her through this difficult time.

Vet bills have exceeded the original quote, with costs totally $3545. This unexpected expense puts a significant strain on our rescue’s limited resources.
