Our younger sister Mimi was diagnosed with stage 3 cholangiocarcinoma last Aug. 2024, a rare and aggressive form of bile duct cancer. She went through 12 rounds of chemo and immunotherapy last fall, but the tumors continued to grow. She was then put on a more aggressive chemo regimen where she was on a 48-hr constant chemo drip. But this took a toll on her body and immune system. Her oncologist is now trying to switch her to a different form of immunotherapy, but the insurance company keeps denying the treatment, even after multiple appeals and one-on-ones between her oncologist and the insurance company. This is the last option for treatment, according to her oncologist. Out of pocket cost is $24k per dose, each dose is every 3 weeks. She would need several doses to see if the treatment is working. We are shooting to start with 3 doses.

She’s an amazing mother to 13 yr old Lestat and loving partner to Lester. She loves cheering on her Jayhawks and vacationing on the beach. She has so much life left in her and she’s continuing to fight. She is literally fighting for her life, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the support!
