Dr. Mimi Merriman dedicated over 27 years of her life to the nursing profession. She was an experienced ICU nurse and a certified Med-Surg nurse at several local hospitals, i.e., Martin Army Community Hospital, Piedmont Columbus Regional, and St. Francis Hospital. She was a passionate nurse educator at Columbus State University. 
Mimi also worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner/Doctor of Nursing Practice at the Columbus Health Department.  

Mimi passed away unexpectedly, and her kind heart, amazing teaching, and the outstanding care she gave to all of her patients will most definitely be missed. 

She leaves behind her pride and joy, her daughter, Lynn, and her two fur babies Cookie and Nilla. Lynn is a student at Columbus State University, and as expected, she does not know what the future holds without her mother’s help. Any funds collected will be used to help Lynn through these uncertain and difficult times.
