Rosemary “Mimi” Klinger was an English teacher and women’s basketball coach at Hueneme High School in Oxnard, CA from the late 1960’s to 2003. She touched many students over the years.

She was more than a teacher, she was comfort in times when there was none. She opened doors through the world of literature to show students the beauty of life. She is remembered by many students as the teacher who shaped them. Her genuine curiosity, compassion and faith led her to many lifelong friendships. She often visited with students on her trips and made sure to follow their journeys. It mattered to her!

This scholarship will be used to benefit students at Hueneme High School.
