Hi, my name is Kim Pascua and I am fundraising for my son, Alec Pascua, and his sweet dog, Milton.

Last Saturday Milton had an accident. He was with his grandpa (Alec’s dad) while we were all out of town. Milton is a middle aged to senior dog but he often times acts like a puppy. He jumped off the boat he was on and slipped on the dock hitting his tummy. At first it was thought he was ok. But soon after they realized Milton was in pain so they took him to the emergency animal hospital. Milton had injured his bladder which required surgery.

Milton was doing fairly well, but wasn’t eating much at all. He was released to go home on Friday. However, on Saturday morning Milton was unable to walk or move. He was rushed back to the animal hospital where he was given a very poor prognosis. We had a glimmer of hope and decided to give him some time there to see if there was anything that could be done to help him. Many tears have been shed along with many, many prayers.

Miraculously, Milton is a fighter and as Alec said he is ready to battle. This sweet boy is not ready to give up. It was determined that he suffered a stroke. He is now standing up and walking on his own. Unbelievable! Even the doctors and technicians are amazed.

Milton is staying another night at the animal hospital to be monitored. Needless to say this has been a very long and expensive week.

Alec adopted Milton from his good friends. They were not able to keep him and knew Alec and Milton had a great bond so they gladly gave Milton to Alec knowing he would be in good hands.

Alec loves this dog so much. And Milton loves him. A very special bond, indeed. Everyone who meets Milton falls in love with him. He is the smartest, cutest and friendliest dog you would ever meet. None of us are ready to lose this guy and it seems he is going to stick around a while longer!!!
