Hallo, mein Name ist Yessica und ich sammle Spenden für das Begleichen meiner Tierarztkosten für meinen kranken Miniatur Bullterrier Milow. Milow ist fast 4 Jahre alt und ist im Alter von 3 Monaten zu mir gekommen. Er stammt aus einer Familie welche nichts außer das Geld für die Welpen gesehen hat. Bereits bevor ich Milow abgeholt habe, fiel mir auf, dass seine Rute herunterhängt und keine Bewegung vorhanden war. Auf Nachfrage gaben die „Menschen“ nur an, es sei eine Blockade im Rücken welche durch Physiotherapie wieder in Ordnung gebracht werden könne. Um die Kosten für die Therapie zu sichern, sollte der Kaufpreis von 1750€ auf 1250€ gesenkt werden. Außerdem trug Milow am Tag der Abholung eine Rüdenwindel (an dem Tag wusste ich noch nicht was das ist, da Milow mein erster Hund ist). Auf Nachfrage wurde mir gesagt, dies sei zur Stabilisierung des Rückens. Zu Hause angekommen war alles in Ordnung, außer dass Milow nicht einmal versucht hat sein großes Geschäft zu erledigen, noch Pipi zu machen. Also bin ich am nächsten Tag gleich zum Tierarzt, wo ich zunächst gesagt bekommen habe er hätte eine Verstopfung. Da ich das aber nicht nachvollziehen konnte bin ich am nächsten Tag nochmal zu einem anderen Tierarzt gefahren. Dort wurde ich dann darauf hingewiesen, dass ich unbedingt ein MRT machen lassen solle. Nun war es einige Tage später soweit. Das MRT stand an, schockierende Nachricht: Milow hat weder Reflexe im Blasenmuskel, noch im Schließmuskel. Folglich ist Milow Urin-, sowie Kotinkontinent. Eine Blockade im Rückenmark wurde erkannt und sollte einige Tage später operiert werden. Dies geschah dann auch. Der operierende Tierarzt teilte mir mit, dass diese ganz Geschichte zu 100% von einem Sturz kommt welcher nicht tierärztlich behandelt wurde. Mich hatte es kaum gewundert, da die Familie ihre 2 Jahre alten Kinder die Welpen hat hochnehmen lassen. Der Tierarzt sagte auch, dass es vielleicht eine 1%ige Wahrscheinlichkeit gibt dass Milow wieder gesund werden würde, ich wollte aber einfach nicht unversucht lassen, er war doch erst 3 Monate alt. Milow wurde also operiert und verpasste mit der schweren Rücken-OP die wohl schönste und mit wichtigste Zeit eines Welpen. Sozialisierung und Spielen mit Artgenossen war aufgrund der OP für Monate nicht möglich. Schon vor Überstehen der OP konsultierte ich die Verkäufer, welche so taten als würden sie von nichts wissen. Auf die Frage ob sie denn nie gesehen haben ob er einen Haufen gemacht hat kam nur die Antwort „schwer herauszufinden bei 5 Welpen“ nein, das ist es nicht, es ist schwer herauszufinden wenn man sich nicht um die Welpen kümmert. Die Verkäufer wollten sich an den Kosten in Höhe von über 2800€ beteiligen, nachdem ich meine Bankdaten schickte, hörte ich nie wieder etwas von ihnen oder bekam irgendwelche Hilfe. Demnach konsultierte ich einen Rechtsanwalt. Auch dieser konnte mir nur wenig Hoffnung geben, da im schönen Deutschland Tiere immer noch als „Sache“ gewertet werden. Ich hätte ja die Möglichkeit den Hund zurückzugeben???!! Nein danke, nicht in diesem Leben, als ob ich nicht wüsste dass das erste was diese Familie tun würde ihn einschläfern gewesen wäre. Also ging es hin und her und ich bekam erneut eine Nachricht von der Familie dass ich Milow doch einfach zurückgeben solle. Unfassbar. Irgendwann konnte ich mir schlichtweg die Kosten für den Anwalt nicht mehr leisten und brach ab. Ich wollte einfach nie wieder etwas mit diesen „Menschen“ zu tun haben. Einige Monate vergingen, bis zu dem Tag als ich aus der Dusche kam und Milow sich die komplette Rute aufgebissen hat. Ich bin direkt zum Tierarzt gefahren und er bekam eine Infusion sowie einen Verband. Als die Wunden besser wurden konnte er ohne Verband und Kragen laufen. Eines Tages als er bei meiner ehemaligen Tagesmutti war, rief sie mich entsetzt während meiner Schicht an und teilte mir mit dass Milow sich die Rute komplett abgebissen habe. Ich hab’s nicht geglaubt, das Foto hat es aber leider bestätigt. Ich habe sofort die Arbeit abgebrochen und bin zur Tierklinik gefahren. Nächste OP: Schwanz Amputation. Erneut über 2000€, aber in diesen Momenten denkt man einfach nicht ans Geld oder daran dass keine Versicherung Milow aufgrund seiner Geschichte aufnehmen wollte und will. Erneut Monate mit Kragen und kaum Sozialiserung. Die Untersuchung des abgetrennten Teils der Rute ergab, dass die Rute komplett voller Thrombosen, Verklebungen, Entzündungen und Nervenschäden war, sodass es kein Wunder war dass er diese loswerden wollte. Haha, vonwegen „Blockade“…

Seit dem, Mai 2022, ging es stetig bergauf mit meinem kleinen Schatz. Auch wenn er immer noch Urin- und Kotinkontinent ist, führt er ein wundervolles Hundeleben ohne Einschränkungen.

Nun musste ich allerdings wieder zum Tierarzt, da er seit einigen Tagen sehr hohes Fieber hat. Die Ursache liegt in einer schweren Entzündung. Der Tierarzt kann nciht herausfinden woher die Entzündung stammt, alle Organe sind in Ordnung. Das Ergebnis des externen Labors steht noch aus. Milow hängt seit 3 Tagen am Tropf, bisher verblieb der Versuch das Fieber zu senken erfolglos. Und nun habe ich innerhalb von 3 Tagen wieder 719€ Zahlen müssen. Und auch wenn ich das Geld für nichts lieber als für ihn ausgebe, habe ich es einfach nicht mehr.

Genau aus diesem Grund starte ich diese Spendenaktion und hoffe, dass es vielleicht tierliebe Menschen mit großem Herzen gibt, die Milow und mich unterstützen können und wollen.

Hello, my name is Yessica and I am collecting donations to help pay my vet bills for my sick Miniature Bull Terrier Milow. Milow is almost 4 years old and came to me at the age of 3 months. He comes from a family who saw nothing but the money for the puppies. Even before I picked Milow up, I noticed that his tail was hanging down and there was no movement. When asked, the “people” only said that it was a blockage in his back which could be corrected with physiotherapy. In order to cover the costs of the therapy, the purchase price was to be reduced from €1750 to €1250. In addition, Milow was wearing a male diaper on the day he was picked up (I didn't know what this was on that day, as Milow was my first dog). When I asked, I was told that this was to stabilize his back. When I got home, everything was fine except that Milow didn't even try to do his big business or pee. So the next day I went straight to the vet, where I was initially told that he was constipated. But as I couldn't understand this, I went to another vet the next day. There I was told that I should definitely have an MRI done. A few days later, the time had come. The MRI was due, shocking news: Milow has neither reflexes in the bladder muscle nor in the sphincter muscle. As a result, Milow is urinary and fecal incontinent. A blockage in the spinal cord was detected and was to be operated on a few days later. This was done. The vet who operated told me that this was 100% due to a fall which had not been treated by a vet. I was hardly surprised as the family had let their 2 year old children pick up the puppies. The vet also said that there was maybe a 1% chance that Milow would recover, but I just didn't want to leave it untried as he was only 3 months old. So Milow had an operation and missed what is probably the best and most important time of a puppy with the serious back operation. Socialization and playing with other dogs was not possible for months due to the operation. Even before the operation was over, I consulted the sellers, who acted as if they knew nothing about it. When I asked them if they had never seen whether he had made a pile, the only answer was “difficult to find out with 5 puppies” - no, it's not, it's difficult to find out if you don't look after the puppies. The sellers wanted to contribute to the costs of over 2800€, after I sent my bank details I never heard from them again or got any help. So I consulted a lawyer. Even he couldn't give me much hope, as animals are still considered “object” in „beautiful“ Germany.

I would have the possibility to give the dog back???! No thanks, not in this life, as if I didn't know that the first thing this family would do would be to put him to sleep. So it went back and forth and I got another message from the family that I should just give Milow back. Unbelievable. At some point I simply couldn't afford the lawyer's fees any more and broke off. I simply never wanted to have anything to do with these ‘people’ again. A few months went by until the day I got out of the shower and Milow had bitten his entire tail open. I went straight to the vet and he was given an infusion and a bandage. When the wounds got better he was able to walk without a bandage and collar. One day when he was with my former day mom, she called me in horror during my shift and told me that Milow had completely bitten off his tail. I didn't believe it, but unfortunately the photo confirmed it. I immediately left work and went to the vet clinic. Next operation: tail amputation. Again over 2000€, but in these moments you just don't think about money or the fact that no insurance company wanted or wants to take Milow in because of his history. Again months with a collar and hardly any socialization.

The Examination of the severed part of the tail revealed that it was completely full of thrombosis, adhesions, inflammation and nerve damage, so it was no wonder he wanted to get rid of it. Haha, “blockage” my ass...

Since then, May 2022, things have been steadily improving with my little darling. Even though he is still urinary and fecal incontinent, he leads a wonderful dog life without restrictions.

Now, however, I had to go back to the vet because he has had a very high temperature for a few days. The cause is a severe inflammation. The vet can't find out where the inflammation is coming from, all organs are fine. The results of the external laboratory are still pending. Milow has been on a drip for 3 days, so far attempts to reduce the fever have been unsuccessful. And now I have had to pay another €719 within 3 days. And even though there's nothing I'd rather spend the money on than on him, I simply don't have it anymore.

That's exactly why I'm starting this fundraising campaign and hope that there might be animal-loving people with a big heart who can and want to support Milow and me.
