Hi everyone, for those who don’t know me my name is Milo and my pronouns are they/them :)
After 3 years of being on HRT as well as searching for good gender affirming doctors, the time has finally come to where I have received approval for top surgery from my physician! This has been an emotionally and physically exhausting journey as my chest has been an extreme additive to my dysphoria which affects my every day life.
Growing up in a non accepting environment has created years of internalized homophobia and transphobia onto myself, as I’ve only came out as nonbinary in 2020 and with my sexuality in 2019. Despite that, I always knew something felt off—I never felt whole. I knew I wasn’t a woman but also not a man, and as puberty hit and my chest started to form is especially when I knew that I was uncomfortable in my identity. There’s been a number of set backs in my path so far as my name change is still being processed, having to go through trial and error with many doctors and therapists, as well as work through past trauma overall. Finding myself over the years, especially through the pandemic, truly has been life changing and saving as I don’t know where I would be today if it wasn’t for the affirming care I’ve received.
These funds will help cover any extra medical costs, as well as day to day bills, and every day living as I will be off work for a good minute since my job is physically demanding. Any help is appreciated, and even sharing this if you’re unable to donate at this time would be lovely too.
All the best and thank you to all who’ve supported me,
Milo Oday Soroushian

*Will update when I receive a surgery date and any other important info
