Hello, my name is Milo and I’m a transgender person preparing to get gender affirming top surgery (double mastectomy). I’m extremely lucky to have the cost of the actual procedure covered by Oregon Health Plan, however, I’m still raising funds to cover some additional expenses related to my surgery and recovery time.

In addition to covering the portion of my bills and life expenses not covered by Oregon Family Medical Leave during the five weeks that i'll be taking off from work to recover, I’m also raising funds to cover the cost of supplies to facilitate my healing and comfort during this time, to cover travel expenses for getting to Portland from Southern Oregon for my procedure, and to help account for my partner who is taking an unpaid week off from work to care for me during the early stages of recovery. ❤️‍

I’ve been working with a therapist for over a year now and have completed the diagnostic process for Gender Identity Disorder, as well as having obtained a letter of recommendation that provides a detailed analysis of how I fit the criteria for Gender Identity Disorder and how this procedure will directly improve my quality of life. I’m now anxiously awaiting a call from my provider to schedule the procedure and will post an update when I have a surgery date set. I’ve taken all the required steps up to this point and this is the last thing I feel I need to do in order to finally feel like I’m free in my true body. Will you help me reach my goal?
