Milo's Safe Return

Hi my name is Veronique and I am fundraising to bring my dear cat Milo home safe with me.

Many of you know that I flew from Mexico to Guelph, Canada summer 2022 (after the pandemic) to finally pick up Milo, my cat of 8 years, but had to go back home empty-handed: the cat sitter to whom I entrusted Milo’s welfare reneged on our agreement to care for my cat during my absence and then return him to my custody.

This person also had ample warning that I was coming to retrieve Milo, but stopped responding to my correspondence.

I then had no choice but to file a small court claim in Guelph at that time, to reclaim my dear Milo at some point in the near future.

My recent Zoom hearing meeting with the judge resulted with a ruling in my favour and a court order to go pick up Milo has been issued.

Here is the issue: the judge will not allow me to have a second person to go pick up Milo for me, so I must fly a second time to Guelph this summer/fall of 2024. This puts me in a very hard financial situation and is the reason why I need to ask for help to bring Milo home safe and sound.

If you are able to donate any amount, Milo and I would greatly appreciate it.

All the funds will be used for transportation for Milo and me, and for my stay expenses in Guelph during the actual pick up process. I don’t know how long it will take to complete the transfer of

custody with the uncooperative cat sitter, but I do have the authorization of the court order to have a Sheriff to assist me if necessary.

Any unused funds will be donated here in Chapala at any of the many animal rescue and adoption centres.
