Milo's Return: A Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
As some may know, Milo didn’t come home last Thursday night. Panic and heartache began to sink in. The days would go by without our little guy. I continued to hope and ask for his return while my heart was filled with sadness.
Last night at 11:00 pm, I heard him at the door. My baby came home!!
He came in crying, limping, soaking wet, and so scared. We rushed him to the Westford Emergency Vet (who were amazing) where they determined that he had gotten stuck somewhere and suffered a compound fracture freeing himself. The fracture is severely infected and will need his leg amputated within 48 hours before sepsis begins. He never gave up to get back to where he knows he’s loved, fighting for his life for 7 days. I must save him!
While we are beyond grateful for Milo’s return, I am now faced with the cost of his life-saving surgery.
Anyone who is willing to help, whatever the amount, is appreciated. Everyone’s kind words and offers of hope this past week have meant so much. I’m truly blessed.
