Milos Treatment for meningoencephalitis MK

Hi my name is Suzie and Im trying to get some help for my Chihauahua Milos MRI and vet Bills. Milo will turn 2 next month so is still a baby!

On the 12th of September he became unwell with a head tilt and he was wobbly. I took him to the vets who said its probably his ears and they gave him a steroid injection and 5days of antibiotics.

Milo did not improve so returned to my local vets in Milton Keynes on the 17th of September. They said it is probably his ears. He was still unsteady on his feet and had a head tilt. He was given a steroid injection and 5days of antibiotics.

One day later on 18th September he had a seizure so I rushed him back to the vets and they sedated him and checked his ears but couldnt find any issues so it is thought to be neurological. I knew my insurance wouldnt cover the MRI so agreed to try some medication called gabapentin. However as the day has gone on he is worse. Unsteady on his feet, jumping, jerking, drooling, whining as if he is on pain and is so sorry for himself. He cant even sleep he is so poorly and is being kept awake by what is going on.

I have pet insurance however it is just not enough. Never thought we would be in this position.

So far I have spent £600 on treatment in the last 6days. Now an MRI quote is 3K plus treatment on top. My insurance is 2K.

I am so heartbroken and hope some kind people will be able to help. He is really suffering and amount can help so much and will be forever greatful.
