Milo’s Life Saving Treatments

Donation protected
Hello friends,

Wherever you have found this fundraiser, thank you for stopping by.

Just shy of 2 months after losing his brother, Milo himself has fallen ill. During the darkest times of my life, this sweet boy has been my guiding light. Quite literally, every time that I have come so close to giving up, he is my reason. He is my soul pet. He taught me not only what love is, but what unconditional love is.

So, having nothing more to lose, here am I writing this, hoping that what goes around does in fact come around. Hoping that, if nothing else, the powers that be won’t rip him away from me. And here you are reading it. Milo has been a tough (and feisty) cookie since day 1, and he still has fight in him. And as for me; I will go to the ends of the earth for this little one. I am doing everything in my power, every sacrifice that I have to make, to see this through, to see us continue to walk through life together here on earth.

The one obstacle in our way is, of course, astronomical vet bills. I am paying every last penny that I can on my end. All that I ask is for some caring and kind souls to pitch in whatever they feel they can. As broken-record as it sounds, every single dollar matters.

I truly thank you for reading this. I am still reeling from a long day at the vet, so I am not as eloquent as usual and hopefully will be able to revisit and revise this once I find the capacity to. If your heart is open to pitching in for this boy, please do so. He is the brightest light that I have ever been lucky enough to have, and he needs extra support right now.

Again, thank you. Genuinely. It is never easy to ask for help. But for him, I will.

If you are not able to pitch in monetarily, please share this to your social media, or with friends and/or family.

Depending on what platform you find your way to this on, I’ll provide contact info just in case it may come in handy.

Nose kisses from Milo, and hugs from me. Thank you.

(Goal is set, but these treatments will be ongoing and can use all of the help we can get. Costs for special food and supplies are also ongoing.)

UPDATE 9/5:
Milo and I just braved our very first injection for his treatment, and although it was completely uncharted territory and quite difficult to mentally accomplish, this is the single biggest step to saving his life. The first injection. I know even more now that this really is possible and that we are so capable of fighting this. To those who have donated toward the cost of providing these treatments - this would not be possible otherwise. You have contributed to saving the life of my best friend. I thank you endlessly for that.

We still have not quite met our goal for the estimation of the treatment course, so this fundraiser is still very much open and active. I wanted to provide a happy update on our journey through this overwhelming process, to let you know what you have / are doing for us when you donate to this cause. Thank you, beyond language.

UPDATE 9/20:
Milo and I have been toughing it out through these injections, and we’re now 2 weeks in! That means we’ve got 10 more to go, and hoping it flies by But so far, he’s rapidly making incredible progress clinically. The 84 days is still always necessary in order to fully kill off the virus and ultimately, cure the cat Otherwise relapses are a guarantee. We may have to switch to oral medication due to how hard the injections have been on Milo (and frankly, me too) which are a bit pricier. We are so lucky to have the support that we’ve been given. Thank you all for the continued love, we can still use all of the sharing and caring that we can get! From two open hearts to another, we love you. Seeing him at deaths door just a few weeks ago, to being so hopeful that he has a chance at a long and happy life… I’m just in awe. Thank you for helping me save Milo’s life.

UPDATE 12/11:
I haven't added an update since we began treatment! It’s been so busy (and stressful) the past few months. BUT!! we are now officially in observation! Observation is also a 12 week process, as long as injections were. If he doesn’t decline or show any symptoms by the end of observation, he is considered cured! Im hopeful as his blood work has been coming back EXCELLENT, and he’s nearly doubled his weight from when he was sick. To everyone that is helping me save my best friend, thank you. I couldn’t have been able to afford any of this without your help. You have saved my baby! I’ll continue to post updates.

UPDATE 4/17:

Milo has been declared CURED!!!!! This little dude is a trooper and certainly one impressive and gritty cat. I couldn’t possibly ask for anything more in life than this. He is the consistent #1 every single day since we crossed paths. I am so so lucky to have such a beautiful creature that makes every day a little bit easier.

I refused to let us be parted, and though it was a grueling process, we saw this through and came out the other end. He is healthy and has gained his weight back, so much so that he is now on a diet (lol)

I once again am eternally grateful for those that made this possible. I raised $1,700 here, and the difference that your kindness and compassion made was / is the reason my precious boy is alive to see today. I could not have done this alone. THANK YOU!!!!!
