My name is Emily, and I have had the amazing pleasure of being a foster mom to Milo and Miley (aka Lily). Jess Birsner adopted Miley/Lily a couple of years ago after she was rescued from deplorable conditions at a concrete company compound. Never had food, water or any vet care. Forced to have a litter of puppies when she was just a puppy herself.

Now, it’s Milo’s turn to take his journey from Kansas to his forever home in New York. Ive spent the last 5 years trying to rescue them. We are raising money to help pay for the multi state professional transport.

Milo has come such a long way in the 6 months he has been here. He went from being so emaciated, intense ear infections, hair loss, flea infested, atrocious condition as well as being heartworm positive. I immediately got him into the vet as well as getting him fixed, chipped and vaxed.

He just got a follow up heartworm test and the medicine worked!! He is now heartworm negative and has a clean bill of health, has learned how to be a wonderful house dog and does great with my other dogs. He has also learned English!

This Fundraiser is solely for the cost of transport. I have the vet bills paid and I do not charge rehoming fees because I know the amazing family they are going to. We had an amazing experience with Doug The Dog Transporter on Miley/Lily’s Independence Day 2024, I’d like to help raise some money for Milo’s Independence Day 2026!!

I am soo thrilled that Jess and Matt have opened their hearts and their homes for these amazing dogs. All I have ever wanted was for them to never live like they had before at the concrete company.
