Milo's Magnificent Fight

Hello everyone,
My name is Sophie Romero and I am a dog mom to a loving 9-year old terrier/chihuahua mix named Milo. Approximately four months ago, my loving boy suddenly went blind. What once was a regular routine became increasingly difficult and navigating our home became a new challenge. After various appointments, a specialist informed us that he had gone blind from stress. You see, Milo just lost his grandpa suddenly, who was his favorite man in the world. Milo was with me every step of my grief and cuddled with me when I needed it the most. After a few months of noticing Milo not being his usual self, we took him for a checkup. After extensive exams, the vet informed me that Milo had Cushings Disease as well as advanced diabetes. The vet let us know that Milo's prognosis was not positive and that we should strive to make him as comfortable as possible. The vet informed us that Milo would need various tests done monthly as well as insulin injections twice a day. As a single dog mom, Milo's bills were coming quickly and I found it hard to keep up. As many pet owners surely can understand, I am devastated to learn of Milo's condition and unfavorable prognosis. Milo is my confidant, my security blanket and my very best friend. He has accompanied me through the hardest moments of my life. I now want to do everything I can to make sure he is comfortable for the remainder of his days by my side. I truly deeply appreciate any help that can be given to aid Milo and help me to give him the love and attention he deserves. Thank you.
