Our baby is still in the vets

Tuesday 8th of July my Paul came back with him from a walk and his face was swollen I instantly thought he was stung by a bee so I applied ice wrapped in a towel on him and took him the vets on the Wednesday morning.

Wednesday 9th of July we get to the vets PDSA in Gateshead they give him some steroids to be taken for 6 days and the bee sting should go down.

Thursday 10th of July we set of to Somerset for The Healing Weekend Festival it was a 9 hour journey and we stopped a few times but the floor was so hot we couldn’t get Milo out the van ☀️ so we carried on and he had an accident in the back of the van
We got to the healing weekend around 4.30pm we set up our stall.
Thursday evening he was trying to wee but nothing was coming out of him and just a puddle of blood from his bum from trying to so he couldn’t wee

Friday 11th of July Paul took him on a early walk and Milo walked into a fence and cut a little of his face where it’s swollen so it started to seep blood and weeping from his eye too, still couldn’t wee and not eaten for 3 days now

Saturday 12th of July his eye was fully closed now and still bladder problems so we took him to a private vet 15 mins down the road! We had a lift from a lovely woman called Abbey who stuck with us through out the situation ❤️
The vets kept him in till 4.30pm to put a catheter in him and monitor him and popped him on a drip and did an ultrasound.
4.30pm we got a lift back to pick him up by Charlie one of the healing weekend staff members. We picked him up to be told he needed more things done X Ray etc etc £200 down from this little procedure.
We got to take him back to the festival to be brought back to our stall in Charlie’s car and people was waiting for Milo at our stall he needs a red carpet next time
Also we can’t thank enough Clint who carried Milo and dropped everything else for us and Milo ❤️ Clint was also a staff member of the festival (security)

Sunday 13th his eye was more inflamed so we called the vets and they wanted us to travel 2 hours to south Hampton apparently nearest out of hours vets to then I challenged it and managed to get PDSA out of hours vets in Bristol a hour away (Vets Now) we took him there and they wanted to keep Milo in and monitor him and popped him on another catheter so he could pass wee etc.

Monday 14th of July we picked him up at 7:30am and we was allowed to travel back up home with him but had to take him straight to PDSA Gateshead we got there around 2:30pm and they wanted to keep him in with another catheter now in him to pass wee and they’ve cleaned his eye up and found it’s an abscess but need more investigation on it as could be a foreign body inside his swollen face still etc the stinger still or pieces of stick etc etc.
his bladder he had an xray on and they struggle to get the catheter in him as it seems there’s a blockage in his urethra.

Tuesday 15th of July we get to see him at 2:30pm in the vets he was brought out to us like this (pictures below) because PDSA don’t have all the equipment Milo needs he now needs to be referred to a specialists (above private vets) to get more investigations on him down on his bladder and face to see what the actual cause is. He’s now currently still in PDSA Gateshead as they want to keep him on the catheter for 24 hours so he’s not to and through with a catheter going in him here there and everywhere. They are referring him to a specialist vets nearer to us so we will hear from them tomorrow and then we will pick Milo up and take him to the specialists so he can have the right treatment he needs.

We want to thank everyone who has been calling us and keeping in touch with us from the weekend and sending love and healing to Milo,we really appreciate it! Fingers crossed we ain’t going to go bankrupt with the treatment Milo will need ❤️

We will keep you all updated when we hear more news ‍♂️‍♀️❤️
We’ve been in bits over the weekend and I can’t stop crying as I’ve never ever had 1 day or 1 night away from him since getting him in 2021!
We love you so much Milo and will do everything and anything for you squishy!!! We can’t wait till you’re better and can go on long walks and play with you again! ❤️ X x x x x x
