Milly & Evie - FEI European Vaulting Championships

Milly and Evie Jessett are sisters from Warwickshire. They have been selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI European Championships for Juniors and Young Vaulters 2024 in Bern, Switzerland. This year Evie, having followed her sister around for the past few years, has finally reached the age where she is old enough to compete as a junior individual and in a pair with her sister. Not only have they both been selected as individuals but they are also competing as a Pair together which is just magical to watch.

This year has been their toughest ever. In January they very tragically and suddenly lost their horse and partner in crime Ginge. The initial feeling was that all their hopes and dreams this year would be over … but thanks to some incredible people they have been able to continue training and competing this year. They have had the opportunity to compete on some amazing horses with some amazing lungers and have shown such incredible determination and guts to continue their journey.

They were extremely lucky to meet wonderful sisters from Austria Viktoria and Veronika Mandl and their amazing horse Gismo (Le Garçon du Coeur) at a CVI competition in Budapest. Lunged by Viktoria they won the a Junior 2* Pairs and have been offered the opportunity to compete on him again in Bern.

Milly and Evie are incredibly talented little girls who work so hard everyday juggling school and training… Milly has also managed to fit in revising for her GCSEs around everything else. They also help run a vaulting group introducing new children into the sport they love so much.

Vaulting is an entirely self-funded sport so we are setting up this page in the hope that family and friends who are as proud of them as we are for all their achievements might like to give them a helping hand on their way to Switzerland in July.
