Milltownpass GAA are a small rural club in Co. Westmeath, with a membership of approx. 300 people.
We have recently developed a new pitch as Phase 1 of our development and plan to have it ready for the 2021 season.
Phase 2 of our development is the development of our main pitch next to the existing dressing room building and community center in Milltownpass.
This will be a replacement for our existing sub-standard pitch.
Funds allowing, we would like to start work on this in 2021/22 to have it ready for the 2023 playing season.
The GAA club in Milltownpass is the heart and soul of the village and we now field Male and Female teams.
The male teams include two senior teams, u-19, u-17, u15, u-13, u-11, u-9, u-7 & nursery, while the Ladies teams include u-18, u-16, u-14, u-12, u-10 & u-8.
The local Primary School, Scouts Group, Community Games and Community Action Group will also benefit from using these facilities.
The ‘Go the extra mile for your club’ development fundraiser will contribute towards our Phase 2 development as outlined above.
On Easter week (Friday April 2nd – Friday April 9th) we are encouraging Club players, members, supporters and friends to get out and walk/run/cycle/swim/spin bike etc. whatever distance you choose 1k, 5k, 10k etc.
Then we would ask all those who participate to make a donation on this Gofundme page towards Milltownpass GAA Development Funds.
We would also like all participants to post a picture on the Club Facebook or Instagram page along with their distance covered.
Please load your photos on the clubs social media over the week.
We will total up all the distances covered and see what distance we have got to as a club over the week.
Thanks very much for your support and please don’t forget to ‘Go the extra Mile for your club’ on Easter Week!
Please keep within the Covid-19 guidelines.
