- Hi, for those who don't know, we lost everything in a housefire February, 28th of this year. Myself and my wife were sharing a home with our Daughter, Sons, and three Grandchildren. In the early hours we woke to screams of FIRE, FIRE. We managed to get all people out and most pets, however lost our cats as well as the children's guinea pigs. We are so thankful for the help from the Neighbors ( Rural area ) . The police came although no firetrucks as the home was located outside the district coverage area.
- We had no contents insurance as hindsight is 20/20 while trying to save money. To this end attempting to save money Davina and I also had all our possessions stored in the home to save on storage charges.To top it off our travel trailer was stored in the driveway ( also no insurance) and from embers caught fire and burned completely as well. Currently due to kindness of a fine Lady in fort Fraser we have shelter for another little bit.
