Why is it important?
• The Million Woman March was a grassroots demonstration that drew over 750,000 Black women to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 25, 1997. While it's recognized as the largest recorded demonstration of the 20th Century, few have heard about its existence. This exhibition will celebrate the organizing efforts, mission, and impact of the Million Woman March while bridging voices of the past to the current generation of young Black women.
