Millikan Rams Special Education Prom Fundraiser

Hello Everyone,

We are absolutely amazed by the generosity of everyone. We have met our goal for the party bus! Yay!! The students are so excited! But, we have decided to leave the fund raiser open for a few more days. Yesterday we learned of two of our students that want to go to prom but can't afford the tickets. Your generosity will allow us to pay for their tickets. Any extra money will be placed in our account here at school to use for Club INclusion's future activities or maybe even a party bus for next year's prom.

Hello all,

Club INclusion is a club comprised of a group of 4 Special Education Teachers at Millikan High School and a whole bunch of students with special needs. The goal of our club is to make extra curricular activities accessible for everyone. These four teachers attend sporting events, musicals, plays, fashion shows and anything else the students show an interest in. Our attendance allows our students to attend, without their parents. Our goal is to give them the most realistic/typical high school experience as possible. We have done some service projects as well. Just recently we made blankets for a cat rescue.

Here is our dilemma: our prom is in Arcadia this year. This presents a problem for our Club INclusion students. Every year, we take our students to the park for pictures, out to a nice dinner and then to the prom. Teachers can not take students to the prom in their personal cars, so parents are expected to drop off and pick up. This is going to be difficult this year because of the distance plus some of our parents rely on public transportation. We are trying to get a "Party Bus" to get our students to the prom and back. Any donation would be greatly appreciated! Go Rams!
