Help Millie Fight for Her Life
Hi, my name is Mary, and I’m writing to share the story of my sweet cat, Millie, and to ask for your help in giving her a chance to survive.
Millie came into my life as a stray. After rescuing 5 other cats, I did not have the room or budget for one more. I tried for weeks to find her a good home, but no one could take her. She was so sweet and just wanted to be loved and have a place to call home. It broke my heart to see her sitting outside my door day after day, so I finally decided to adopt her and welcomed her into my home. Millie has always had a fiercely independent spirit, so she lives as an indoor-outdoor cat, spending her days lounging in the sun and coming inside at night.
One day, Millie didn’t come inside as usual. Instead, I found her lying under a table outside, unmoving and clearly in distress. I rushed her to the emergency hospital, where she remained in critical care for four days. The doctors tried everything, but they couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong. Millie was bleeding internally, and they suspected rat poisoning, but the bleeding wouldn’t stop.
After four agonizing days and a $10,000 bill, the emergency clinic recommended transferring her to an internist. At Leader Animal Hospital in Cooper City, additional testing revealed even more devastating news—Millie has nodules, and the veterinarians suspect she may also have cancer.
So far, I’ve spent $11,321 trying to save Millie’s life. Despite her suffering, she’s still fighting. She has a long road ahead of her with more testing, treatments, and care. Millie is more than just a cat to me—she’s my family. I can’t imagine giving up on her when she’s shown so much resilience and determination to stay by my side.
I’m reaching out for help because the financial burden has become overwhelming. If you can find it in your heart to donate, even just a small amount, it would mean the world to me and to Millie. Every dollar will go directly toward her medical bills and ongoing care.
Thank you for taking the time to read Millie’s story. Please consider sharing her GoFundMe page to help spread the word. Together, we can give Millie a fighting chance.
With gratitude,
