Millie’s splenectomy

If you know me, you also know that my dog Millie is my best friend, my rock, my heart. On December 17, I was devastated to learn she has a softball-sized tumor on her spleen. It could be benign, or it could be cancer, but her spleen has to be surgically removed to tell. Luckily, x-rays aren’t showing any visible signs of cancerous spread, but it’s at risk of fatally rupturing/hemorrhaging at any time, so she needs a splenectomy ASAP. I recently lost my job and have been going through deep depression and grieving in the midst of some difficult life circumstances, so this timing has really turned my world upside down. I’m asking for all the help I can get to pay for the surgery and a couple other needed procedures like an ultrasound and biopsy, because my girl still has plenty of sparkly energy left in her to share with the world.
