Hi and welcome to Millies Miracle Fund!
I've never been the type to ask for money, because at the end of the day everyone has their own things going on. But desperate times call for desperate measures and I reach out my family, friends and community to assist us in whatever way you can.
Yesterday, our tiny little Dachshund was unfortunately in an extremely traumatic incident with a much larger family dog where she was bitten around her neck- something that we didn't foresee happening as both dogs have spent time together before. The much larger dog had our poor little Millie by the throat for couple of minutes before releasing her. She was not responsive, however after receiving CPR and being rushed to the emergency vet with a low pulse we were able to provide her with a fight chance. Not a surprise to many pet owners and due to the nature of Millie's injuries, our vet bills have been astronomically high even with the use of our pet insurance. The funds are needed urgently to keep Millie alive and provide her with a fighting chance. She has already cleared surgery, but unfortunately and due to the circumstances of the year, our fire extinguisher fund is running very low even though she is still requiring a number of days worth of treatment.
Millie unfortunately wasn't just a regular dog, she became a pillar in our family, a familiar and heart-warming presence. Words can not describe the love we feel for our dog and it is for this reason that my family and I will fight as hard as we can to keep her alive. We can not picture a life without her in it.
We would be so grateful for any donations, publicity (through any forms of social media or word of mouth) and healing thoughts that you are able to make.
