Hello Family, Friends, and kind souls!  This is my Aunt Millie and my Uncle Steve (had to introduce him because he is in the picture).  In December 2018, my Aunt was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, it is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell.  These plasma cells normally help fight infections by producing antibodies but in Multiple Myeloma, the cancer cells produce abnormal proteins that accumulate in the bone marrow.  This cancer only has 3 stages.  My Aunt Millie is at a stage 2, which means it is aggressive enough but it is currently only found in her bones.  They have found the cancer in her skull, neck, spine, arms, hips, and hands.  Thankfully her organs are not affected!

My Aunt Millie has just completed her first month of chemotherapy and is expected to do 6 to 8 months more.  She is also undergoing a bone therapy treatment.  This is to strengthen her fragile bones in preparation for a bone marrow transplant in the future.   She travels 170 miles, round trip, every Friday to receive her chemo treatment and for doctor appointments.  When her body is ready to receive the bone marrow transplant, she will be in the hospital for up to 2 months recovering.

The purpose of this fund is to cover some of the copays.  There are many other expenses that can be mentioned but my goal is to help my Aunt focus on her treatment so that she can kick this cancer out!  I ask that you please consider giving a donation, any amount will be greatly appreciated.  Prayers accepted, too!  Thank you for taking a minute to read her story!
