Hi, my name is Ricarda and I’m a mum to three beautiful girls. I’m creating this go fund me to ask for a little support to help our two eldest daughters compete at the Dance World Cup.

Both girls have worked unbelievably hard for this opportunity. Millie has qualified as a double soloist, as well as competing in a duet and group dances, while Olivia has qualified for her very first Dance World Cup, which is such a huge and exciting milestone for her. Dance is their passion, their confidence, and their happy place, and I’m so proud of everything they’ve achieved.

This year, however, has been one of the hardest of our lives. While pregnant with our third daughter, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I found out during my pregnancy, had surgery, and am currently undergoing chemotherapy. I have been unable to work since May due to the diagnosis, my mental health, surgery and chemo. Our beautiful Willow was then born in November, so i am now on maternity pay while focusing on treatment and recovery.

As much as we want to be able to fund this journey ourselves, the reality is that the costs of travel, accommodation, entry fees, costumes, and training for the Dance World Cup are simply beyond our means at the moment — especially while facing cancer treatment and being off work.

I’m asking for help not just to get our girls to a competition, but to give them something positive, inspiring, and unforgettable during a very difficult chapter for our family. Dance has been a light for them through everything we’ve been facing, and this opportunity would mean the world to us.
