Our sweet Miller was way stronger than the world needed him to be. In his short time on Earth, he overcame respiratory distress, intubation, PJP pneumonia, two bone marrow transplants, VOD, Covid, and probably more that I’m forgetting in this moment. Although Miller spent most of his life in the hospital, he had such a love for life. Even on his worst days, he still found a reason to smile. CHNOLA quickly became our “home away from home.” We have had some of our best times and some of our worst times at that hospital. Unfortunately, Miller lost his most recent battle against lung GVHD.

With this money, we will contribute to the Stem Cell Transplant Unit at CHNOLA, in honor of Miller. We hope to carry on his legacy within that unit, as they are the reason we got extra time with our baby boy.
