Miller’s Cabin
Donation protected
Fueled by a dry forest and spread by high winds, the Ross Fork Fire destroyed the Miller family cabin in early September. The Fire consumed everything, leaving only ash and metal. Gone are the heirloom pieces of furniture custom built by their father George and new pieces recently added by Steve. I joined Steve at the site when it first opened up after the fire receded. All I could do was wash the soot from their father’s headstone, revealing a cracked but complete image of George and his dog Tarke. I know many people know personally the joy and peace this place brought to the Millers, which they shared with hundreds over the years. I thought I would reach out to those wishing to help the Miller’s in this tough time.
