I am Brenda Davis, and It is with a heavy heart that I post this....because my friend and person I considered a sister Marie Miller age 47 passed away today. Her passing is shocking, confusing, frustrating and all those other feelings that you feel when you are blindsided. Last Friday evening, Marie was out at dinner where she was singing karaoke. She had just finished singing "Girl Crush" and she was in here happy spot; margaritas, karaoke, her husband Dennis and her two baby girls. A few minutes later when she got up to go change the girls, she was found passed out in the bathroom. Marie was rushed to the hospital, where her heart stopped on the way there. She was revived only to have it stop again upon arrival. After much testing it was discovered that Marie had suffered a ruptured aneurysm. They were able to stabilize her but the damage sustained to her brain and in turn to her heart and lungs was too severe; and today at noon after her two sons, Devin and Dewayne, could be together with their mom, Marie Miller was removed from life support and she passed away.
With Marie's passing she leaves two sons, Dewayne, 26, who lives in Conroe, Devin, 22, who is in the US Marine Corp stationed in Okinawa, 2 year old Mackenzie, 1 year old Macaylee, and a heart broken husband along with a slew of friends and family searching for the "why" in all of this.

The only thing I can think to do is to start this fund, to help those precious babies of hers by helping Dennis with her final expenses, and set up a college fund for the girls and remove some of that pressure from him who is already going thru enough at this point.
I can't put into words who Marie was, because she was pure light and just drew people to her like a moth to a flame. And when you got close to her you found comfort, warmth, acceptance, and love.....that's just who she was and I think she couldn't be any other way. I am including a statement from her husband Dennis that to me sheds more light on who she was and will continue to be in our hearts for many years to come.

My wife was beautiful, crazy, loving and the love of my life. She loved me and our kids with all of her heart and we were her joy. I doubt if I will ever understand why this happened. I do know that she touched thousands of lives and not one of them will ever forget how she could just fill the room with her presence. She did not know a stranger and she would not hesitate to talk to anyone about anything with no filter. Our boys, Devin and Dewayne are devastated. Dewayne always looked to his mother as the ever present rock that fixed his problems and she can't do that for him anymore. Devin is a US Marine stationed in Okinawa who had not seen his mother in almost 2 years. The two of them were togther with her when we said our final goodbyes. Our lives--and the lives of countles others--are richer for having been part of hers. We miss her horribly and I can only ask our loved ones to continue to hold me, our children, and Marie's family in your prayers and join us in celebrating her life even through our grief and disbelief. Dennis Miller

I pray that you all can find it in your hearts to donate what you can, and please pass this along to as many people as possible so we can help Dennis, Mackenzie and Macaylee
