February 28, 2020 — Our beloved family home, where my four siblings and I grew up with our two parents for the last 26 years, suddenly burnt down. The cause is still being investigated. My little sister was home alone at the time. She was able to escape the house unscathed with the dogs.
The fire resulted in a total loss of the home and all the belongings inside. I’m really unsure what would be the appropriate amount to set as our goal, but any bit of a relief would just be the greatest blessing to my parents.
This last year has been a very difficult time for my parents as my dad was diagnosed and successfully treated for colon cancer. The loss of our family home is a truly devastating addition to our private struggles in so many ways. If you are able to help in any way— not necessarily just monetarily, it would be greatly appreciated. Prayers and support with clothing, shoes and day-to-day necessities would also be a welcomed blessing.
Please try to respect, as much as possible, the privacy of my family during this time. This will certainly be a slow heal.
