We are about to enter the next stage of development for our trails and need financial support to acheive our goals.
The trail network has had significant upgrades over the past couple of years that have only been made possible by the support of the Sutherland shire council and all the volunteers that have turned up to lend a hand. To get to the next stage we need your help! here's what we are planning..........
The firetrail climb out that is currently a rutted out mess is to be reversed in direction and turned into a fast, fun descending jump style trail that will cater for beginner/intermediate riders to advanced with varying sized tabletop jumps and berms. (marked in red on the attached map) It will be approximately 450 meters long with 7-8 jumps, rollers and berms. Each jump will have 2 lines to cater for all users. At the end of this trail it will then cross the creek and up into the trail called "kill bill" which will also be reversed and made into a descending trail.
We also have a need for a beginner loop that will allow more family friendly riding. The plan is to use an existing firetrail and add in some shape and features that will allow kids and beginners to progress to the other trails in the park. (marked in green on the map) We really want the next generation of riders to have somewhere to progress and learn but recognise that not all of our trails are beginner friendly.
Our current funding comes out of the Sutherland shire council bush care budget, but this only covers the monthly build day's and occasional machine hire. To acheive the above goals we need to raise funds for machinery hire with an approved operator and materials. All money goes straight back into the project!
Donations of all sizes are welcome so if you can help us out that would be great!
