We are Nicole and Nicole, two dedicated rescuers focused on TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and adoption efforts for street cats in Brooklyn’s 11234, 11236, and 11229 neighborhoods. While helping a large colony in Mill Basin, we met this incredibly sweet girl. The feeder called her Blinky, but we’ve renamed her Montana after the street where we rescued her.
While trapping a pair of kittens, we noticed Montana eating nearby and immediately saw that she needed far more than a meal—she was suffering from a painful, infected eye. We later learned that she had recently had kittens, and it’s likely that her injury happened while fiercely protecting them. Despite everything she’s endured, she remains gentle, loving, and trusting.
As a small, unfunded rescue, we don’t have the resources of larger organizations, but we refuse to let Montana suffer. She urgently needs eye surgery, dental care, and continued medical treatment to recover fully. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward her care, giving her the chance to heal and eventually find the safe, loving forever home she deserves.
Please donate today and share Montana’s story—your support truly means the world to her. ❤️
